A perfect May day
At the end of May, Danielle and Mathew celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Villa Regina Teodolinda on the shores of Lake Como, surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was a perfect sunny day, filled with love, excitement, and the joy of celebrating together.
Getting Ready at the Villa
The day began at the villa, where Danielle got ready surrounded by her mum and closest friends. The atmosphere was full of excitement as everyone prepared for the celebrations ahead. Matthew also got ready on site, enjoying those special moments before the ceremony with the anticipation of the day to come.
The First Look
Before the ceremony, Danielle and Mathew shared a special first look — the first time they saw each other that day. Even though they had already seen each other before their wedding day, the moment was still incredibly emotional. It was a beautiful and intimate moment for the two of them before joining their guests for the ceremony.
A Romantic Colour Palette
The colour palette was soft and romantic, with white and delicate shades of light pink chosen to complement the elegant tones of Villa Regina Teodolinda. The floral arrangements and details were designed to blend naturally with the villa, creating a timeless and romantic atmosphere while enhancing the beauty of the setting.
The Ceremony on the Lake
The ceremony took place on the lake terrace, overlooking the sparkling waters of Lake Como. As the guests gathered and waited for the bride, Mathew stood at the altar, visibly emotional and especially eager to see Danielle again.
When Danielle walked down the aisle, it was the second time they saw each other that day, creating another incredibly emotional and unforgettable moment. Surrounded by their loved ones and with Lake Como as their backdrop, they exchanged their vows and officially became husband and wife.
A Boat Ride on Lake Como
After the ceremony, while their guests enjoyed an Italian aperitif at the villa, Danielle and Mathew took a private boat across the lake for their couple shoot. It was the perfect opportunity to spend some quiet time together, enjoy the views, and simply take in the excitement of being newlyweds.
Their photo session also included a visit to Villa del Balbianello, one of Lake Como’s most iconic locations. Walking through its beautiful gardens and enjoying its spectacular views, they created some truly unforgettable memories in one of the lake’s most iconic settings.
An Italian Dinner
Back at Villa Regina Teodolinda, the newlyweds rejoined their guests for delicious Italian food and drinks before everyone gathered for dinner. The intimate setting made it possible for everyone to spend the evening together, sharing stories, laughter, and special moments.
An Intimate Dinner Setting
For this intimate celebration, we designed a U-shaped dinner table to make the most of the space and create a warm, convivial atmosphere. White and light pink flowers, together with delicate candles, brought the romantic colour palette to life and complemented the elegant surroundings of the villa.
As the sun began to set, the lights among the trees were switched on, adding a warm and enchanting glow to the garden and making the atmosphere even more magical.
A Day to Remember
Danielle and Mathew’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, surrounded by the people closest to them and set against the timeless beauty of Lake Como. An intimate day filled with sunshine, romance, laughter, Italian charm, and unforgettable memories — from their emotional first look to their boat ride across the lake and their portraits at Villa del Balbianello.
It was a celebration that felt completely personal to them, with every moment thoughtfully created around the people and places they love.
Cake & Champagne
After dinner, the evening continued with heartfelt speeches and emotional moments shared with their closest friends and family. Then came the cake cutting, followed by a beautiful champagne tower — the perfect way to celebrate the newlyweds and raise a glass to the beginning of their life together.
